I used to have Carla Rack and Carla Patchbay 64 bit installed on my Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.3.
However I had to do a clean reinstall of the system because of a problem and now I just don't seem to be able to find Carla-git again.
It used to be in the Software Manager but now is no longer there and if I try to download it via [http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Applications:Carla][/http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Applications:Carla] it tells me that carla-git is not available.
Does anyone know what happened?
I normally use it in combination with LMMS to play Linux compatible VSTs (.so).
I use Vestige for Windows Vsts but it doesn't allow me to use it with Linux Vsts.
Alternatively, do you know of any free source audio plugin host compatible with LMMS that can do what Carla does? Thanks!

Re: What happened to Carla Audio Plugin Host?
Have you added their repository to your system? Linux Mint 18.x is based on Ubuntu 16.04 so follow the second set of instructions for adding their repository here: https://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Repositories
Re: What happened to Carla Audio Plugin Host?
1) go to http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Repositories and install the kxstudio-repos.deb package. You need KXStudio repository for Carla.
2) nOW you can go to http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Applications:Carla and click on the Debian/Ubuntu (via KXStudio repositories) link to install Carla.
Hope this helps

Ok, I follow both steps - it was great of you to pointing out that 2) had to be done as well. That was really helpful and I'll keep it in mind for future references.Lord Boltar wrote: ⤴Fri Nov 16, 2018 6:26 pm 1) go to http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Repositories and install the kxstudio-repos.deb package. Everything now works out of the box! I'm so happy because some great plugins work much better with Carla than Vestige.
Thanks a lot !
