Is there a way to make the sound switch from HDMI (TV) back to regular speakers or vice versa automaticity when plugging or unplugging the HDMI cable?
More than once I have unplugged the HDMI between my laptop and TV then have no sound on the laptop because I forgot to switch it back, then I must plug the HDMI cable back in before I'm able to switch it back manually.
I installed PulseAudio, it didn't change anything, Or am I just missing a setting somewhere?

Re: HDMI Sound Switching
Hi Mike123.
I don't have HDMI so can't test anything related. I would have thought pulseaudio could detect and switch when needed, but maybe not.
Here's a link with a possible solution, if you can get through all the noise: https://askubuntu.com/questions/458194/ ... ptop-14-04
Good luck.
