Are spotify/VLC sounds muted for the duration of the notification sound only, or does a notification sound mute spotify/VLC sounds until you yourself unmute them? And if so, how do you unmute them?

It almost sounds like you removed or disabled PulseAudio, so that only one program at a time can output sound.

I have to manually unmute in audio mixer (opening it via sound icon in panel). VLC can be unmuted "in app".
About Pulse, maybe, but i dont think so. I can talk via Discord/Teamspeak when music is playing, just "notifing" sounds are muting music players.

I did "sudo apt upgrade", nothing special, but now everything is working. I have to say, solved. Thank You anyway.
