laptop Speakers not working

when installing linux mint 19.1, the sound works fine with the volume control on panel and sound card recognized in sound settings. after apply all mint mint updates only the headphone jack is working with me, could someone help me regarding this issue

I've had something similar recently and still sometimes experience a "no sound from speaker Bug". What works for me is closing and reopening the lid on my HP Pavillion.
