pulseaudio - how to access?

Post by theraja57 »

pulseaudio is listed in the synaptic package manager as already loaded (server, bluetooth and commandline tools) but doesn't show up in "all applications". My ultimate goal is to use the equalizer tool. How do I access pulseaudio?

There was an error connecting to pulseaudio, please make sure you have the pulseaudio dbus module loaded, exiting...
I couldn't find a package to load referring to dbus.

Try this - you can edit the file in question with xed admin:///etc/pulse/default.pa.

The module-dbus-protocol library that it complained above already comes with the standard pulseaudio install,
there's no extra / separate package indeed (it's simply not enabled by default...)
