Clementine info not in sound menu

Clementine info not in sound menu

I'm running Linux Mint 19.1 64-bit Cinnamon. One of my favorite music players is Clementine. The problem: While the program shows up in the sound menu under "Launch player", it doesn't display any information in the sound menu while playing music. No cover art, no play controls, no titles on the panel, etc. The sound menu behaves as if no music player is running at all. I sifted through all the Clementine settings, and can't find anything related to this function. Is Clementine just not compatible with Cinnamon's sound menu? Or is there a way to get this working?

Have you looked in the settings for the notification area on the panel?
