HDMI not working

Post by Tess »

I often use HDMI between laptop and TV. The other day I left for a phonecall maybe 30 min. The screensaver was started when I came back. Since then the HDMI is lost. TV can detect the laptop but dont get a signal for HDMI. I`v done xrandr - disconnected. I have tested the cable is working. I´ve tested LiveUSB. I reinstalled linux (18,3 Syliva, cinnamom). VGA is working. the laptop is a ASUS R417m, the graphiccard is integrated with motherboard. Sorry for my english I´m not nativeenglish.

This may, or may not be the answer to your problem, but check it anyway:

Asus X556UAM no HDMI video output
https://askubuntu.com/questions/887757/ ... deo-output

Also, it always makes sense to provide the output of the command inxi -Fxzd (in Terminal, copy the information from Terminal and paste it in your post)

Variant: inxi -Fxzd > comp-info.txt - the file comp-info.txt will be created in your /home/username folder

Hello
With a complet identical hard config, I went from 18.3 CINNAMON 64 bit (everything was OK) to 19.3 CINNAMON 64 bit
The only problem encountered, no more recognition TV-HDMI signal on TV screen,
Mint display config reconize both screen, notebook and TV but error msg when apply

Everything worked perfectly under 18.3. Intel Core I7-65000U CPU @ 2.50Ghz ...

Thank you if someone can help
