Thank You MrEen. I saw you fixed the speaker on the Asus Eee PC X101ch, here in this topic. I had my own kind of fix before, but yours is better. So, i updated my fixing tips there: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=264417

You're welcome sebastjava! :D

And I'm sure you're already aware a PulseAudio update will probably undo the change, but thought I should mention it again for future readers.

If you're trying to say that raising the Headphone volume in alsamixer worked to get the sound from your speakers, then here is the fix so it survives a reboot:

1. In the terminal enter xed admin:///usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output-speaker.conf and when the file opens find this section:

Code: Select all

; This profile path is intended to control the speaker, let's mute headphones
; else there will be a spike when plugging in headphones
[Element Headphone]
switch = off
volume = off
Change it to this:

Code: Select all

; This profile path is intended to control the speaker, let's mute headphones
; else there will be a spike when plugging in headphones
[Element Headphone]
switch = mute
volume = merge
2. Save and close the file, ignore the terminal warnings and reboot.

This also applies to you if the same thing worked in your case.

Good luck to you both! :D

Have to add my thanks for this fix for a Panasonic CF-31 mk4. Spent an hour hunting forums before I found this. Worked fantastic, thank you MrEen!
