[Solved] Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
I have linux mint 20 fresh install and am trying to connect powerbeats pro bluetooth earbuds. The earbuds get detected, but no luck connecting to it. Installed Blueman. Still no luck.

That most likely means it's already loaded. Like I said that was a guess.
Let's see the output of

Let's see the output of

Re: [Solved] Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
Yeah, it's really solved, but i am not sure how it got solved exactly. Updated system once more, uninstalled Blueman, searched devices again, and hurray...
EDIT: Well, not solved really. I can connect to headphones and hear pop up sound of connection as well as sounds then i increase or decrease volume, but no application sounds (headphones are set as output device). Even then i go to "Sound settings", and adjust volume, i can hear sound, but "Test sound" does not work. Adjusting volume on the headphones does not work either.

Re: Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
See if using PulseAudio Volume Control ( pavucontrol) works better than your sound settings app. Install it if necessary, then check the Output Devices tab and the Playback tab to see what's happening. I have a suspicion that might sort things out.
Re: Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
Thank you. It helps, but still not entirely: seems like default output device for applications is not my headphones and i can't find a way to set it so. Now i must change manually output device to headphones on Pulse Audio for each application and then it works.
Re: Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
On the Output Device tab, click on the check mark for the headphones to make them the default device.
Re: Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
OK, thanks. Now it works. "Fallback" didn't sound like default to me...
Re: Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
Agreed. I'm glad it worked for you.
Re: [Solved] Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
I had this problem as well and the module reload did not work for me. What i didnt realize is that i have blueberry installed.
Actions that fixed:
sudo apt remove blueberry
sudo apt install blueman
restart

Re: [Solved] Powerbeats pro bluetooth earphones not connecting
Hello! I know this is labeled as Solved but I had some issues with this as well, I'm running Mint 20.2.
I was able to connect the first time I booted up the system, but then it refused to connect. It didn't matter if I was using blueman or blueberry, neither worked. I spent a bunch of time trying to find a solution on a handful of forums but I found a solution that worked for me and might work for someone else:
By default I had the pre-installed drivers. Once I made the switch to the recommended graphics drivers and rebooted, it worked like a charm.
I didn't think the graphics drivers would have anything to do with bluetooth but who knows. Just thought I'd share what worked for me, and what might work for one or two people in the future.
