Thanks! :D

I struggled a lot with what to put there without getting too verbose. Finally settled on the most common fixes back when I created it. Of course, Ubuntu and upstream then started making all kinds of changes, so most fixes lately are much more machine specific than those general fixes are capable of resolving.

So, i tried MrEen suggestion again, but could not notice any change in the sound in the end. Also sorry for the delay, but i only had the chance to test it now.

Good link in your sig, MrEen
That was one of the first things i checked, but ended up blasting my LM cinnamon away because i can't read the big red warning lol. Luckily i had nothing installed on the machine so it was ok.

I've still got one trick up my sleeve.

Run HDAJackRetask again, this time either leave 0x14 alone, or change it to Internal Speaker (LFE) and set 0x17 to Internal Speaker. If you leave 0x14 alone, set 0x17 to the LFE option.

And if still no luck, add 0x1e as another Internal Speaker.

Did you try changing your profile? That should give you a 2.1 option. The Configuration tab of pavucontrol is where that can be changed.

Changed it, but then nothing worked except for the subwoofer, which was not even displayed before. Will try changing the pins.

Please play around with that app. Maybe you'll find some configuration that works for you.

Good luck! I wish I could offer anything else, but I think we're on our last hope here.

Well, after some testing and messing around. I could not find anything that worked. Tried to change the pins on jackRetask and the audio profile on pulseAudio, but got mostly nothing in the end. Maybe there is a configuration that i can try that works, or the speaker is just broken. Since i am not sure, i will go with the second option until i check it properly when i send it to repair someday.

Thanks Dark Owl and MrEen for all the help provided and for sticking around after all this time.

Sorry we couldn't get this sorted out.

If you're up to it, I would like you to try one more change in HDAJackRetask. Change 0x1b to Internal Speaker (if possible), both with and without 0x14 being changed to Not connected.

Maybe even all 3 of 0x14, 0x17 and 0x1b being set might work.

Tried that, 0x1b with 0x14 set to internal speaker did not change anything, the other configurations muted sound completely.
