Microphone from headsets doesn't work

Post by lafken »

Hello! I was using Discord and I noticed that my laptop isn't picking up on the existence of mics and is only using the built-in one (which sounds awful)

Some information:
- I'm using Linux Mint 20.1 (x64) on a laptop. I'm running a dual installation with Windows 10, and the microphones work in Windows.
- I've tried a cellphone headset with the 3.5 mm plug and a Bluetooth headset, and neither of them work.
- I installed PulseAudio, and it's still not showing the existence of the mics.
- I'm new to Linux.

Hi! Have you found the solution for this? I also have the same problem.

Aside from:
  • Undetected Printer
  • Undetected Graphic Tablet

Sadly, no. I've just been using my phone for audio in the meantime. I already tried everything I could think of and find, so I'm just waiting for a reply on this now.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. My printer works fine, thankfully. I haven't tried my drawing tablet, though.
