Randomly, 1 or 2 times a week, audio on my PC completely stops. PC continues working but i have zero audio output.
When the error occurs, audio device list results empty, and if i run pacmd list-sinks i get daemon not running. I tried fixing it with
Code: Select all
pulseaudio -k
Code: Select all
pulseaudio --start
When i reboot after the error, before the computer completely turns off, i get a dark screen with a terminal, saying something about USB not recognized (it disappear fast, next time i will take a photo).
I add that sometimes my audio gets really cracked , but when it happens i'm able to solve it just running
Code: Select all
pulseaudio -k
Any help is appreciated!
(I'm new to linux so if more info are needed i'll put them!)
EDIT: I found out what comes out : usb3-3: cannot get ctl value: req=0x81, wValue= 0x200, wIndex=0x2900

EDIT 2 : I tried to move to kernel 5.8, but the issue is not solved.
EDIT3: Today the error happened and i tried to unplug the audio interface, and when reconnected the error was solved. It can be an hardware problem? Or maybe driver related? Idk...
EDIT4: Maybe is the usb 3 port that is causing some issues to my audio interface that is only usb 2.0 compatible, i'm gonna try it.
EDIT5: Nothing, error still persist...
