Speakers not working, Headphones work Linux Mint 20

Post by GermanDog »

Hello

I am having an issues with a new install of Linux Mint 20. My hardware

Thinkpad T530 i7 16gb Ram

Headphones work fine but no output from speakers. When I set it up, speakers worked for a while then quit. I checked speaker connector into main board and reseated it. One thing I noticed. I do not have a "sound menu" in settings. It was there when I first setup the system, now it is gone. I have made sure speakers are unmuted and checked output to stereo.

I have done all the updates to the system.

Any ideas or direction will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

From the information I directed you to:
https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=83444 wrote:
[5] Details! Details! Details!
  • ...
  • Generally it suffices to type the following in terminal and include the output in your post -> inxi -Fxxxrz
  • ...
  • When posting output of commands use the "Code" tags if it is more than 2 or 3 lines long - this makes it more readable. The button that inserts these tags is marked </>
Doing that avoids "overloading" your post.
