No Sound After Fresh Install Mint 19.3 Laptop

Post by lindas_linux »

I had sound before I wiped out this laptop and installed Cinnamon 19.3. I split the root and home directories due to size of hard drive. I've researched and tried multiple things but had no luck. Hoping someone with experience can help. I'm trying to get sound on built in speakers, headphones don't work either. Looks like sound card is not recognized, I have gotten the Dummy Output message in Sound Settings while trying to play something. Below is output from inxi -Fxz and aplay -l

I ran the following and thought this might help someone discover the issue.

Code: Select all

curl https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/raw/master/src/utils/pa-info?inline=false | bash | nc termbin.com 9999
https://termbin.com/dokq

Any help is appreciated as I'm a newbie to this. Thanks!
