To elaborate what I'm saying in the subject : I have Linux Mint 20.1 running on an Acer Swift 3 SF314-57, dual-booted with windows 10.
Fast Boot & secure boot are of course disabled. My sound card is sometimes (it is rather random, or it may look as if) not recognized by the system (
Code: Select all
aplay -l
My main problem here is that each time I shutdown or reboot my laptop when a Dummy Output is shown, the laptop freeze on the LM logo (no keyboard input is possible moreover), resulting sometimes in the break of my boot process (I need to reinstall grub from a live session each time it happened, it's annoying ngl).
I have explored many leads that I found online :
- changing the kernel --> Nothing really changed (from 5.4 to 5.10), the bluetooth became more stable though.
- Reinstalling alsa, same, nothing changed
- Checking if Timidity was the cause of my problem, turns out it wasn't
A few commands output that may be useful (note that these have been taken while my sound was not working) :
Code: Select all
