Mint 20.2 no sound (faq)

Post by pittendrigh »

Been running Mint for 7 or 8 years. Last installation was 19.something, Cinnamon. No problems.

Installed 20.2 today. Not sure why. Now no sound. I've read several threads on this forum and others.
pulseaudio volume control seems to think sound is happening but it isn't.
I recursively deleted ~/.config/pulse/*
pulseaudio -k
pacmd list-sinks | grep mute
muted: no

hmm.

pacmd list-sinks
