Dummy Output Problem - Audio Output not recognized

Post by grudgemonkey »

Hello Everyone, today I switched from windows 10 to Mint. Everything works fine, however I don't get any sound. In the sound settings the only output option is "Dummy Output"
I'm using headphones plugged into my monitor, not the desktop.
Here's my specs

Hi grudgemonkey, and welcome to the forum.

HDMI audio is sometimes trickier to solve, but we'll do our best.

Let's get a look at your sound setup with this command:

Code: Select all

curl https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/raw/master/src/utils/pa-info?inline=false | bash | nc termbin.com 9999
The last line of output will have a URL pointing to the info. Pasting that URL is all I need.
