Hi, this is a weird issue. When visiting certain websites something goes wrong with my audio - it goes all glitchy sounding. It happens for all audio from the moment I visit the website until I do a full reboot when it goes back to normal. It appears to be certain websites running javascript - I've found it quite rare lately and happens on multiple websites, my only example here is an IBM one though.
To reproduce:
- start some music
- visit https://www.ibm.com/investor/help
- sound should glitch out and be 'crackly' until reboot
I have a X570 AORUS ELITE motherboard which I am using the sound from. I have 2 speakers usually, found it's also just as glitchy with a separate USB headset. A little more info in case it's needed:

Re: Audio breaks when visiting some websites
Ah, that bug.
The following should (hopefully) work as a workaround:
In Firefox's about:config, set media.webspeech.synth.enabled to false.
This tweak stops Firefox from launching an audio process called speech-dispatcher, which triggers the bug.
It's not a fix for the underlying bug, but it should hopefully work, until a bugfix arrives.
Other discussions about the bug (for reference/history):
A second sound stream plays at the same time? viewtopic.php?f=48&t=353254
sound gets scratchy by random viewtopic.php?f=48&t=349104
Kernel on Mint viewtopic.php?f=90&t=354543
Hope this helps.

Re: Audio breaks when visiting some websites
The workaround seems to do the trick for me, thank you BashBasher!
