I put the same help question to the Dutch forum, but I think the user base is too small. So I turn to you.
used to work with Xubuntu 18 on the desktop computer and after having installed Mint Mate 20.2 on some laptops, decided to install it on my desktop.
Found it problematic to get it to work with sound. Tried the usb-drive, i.c. Live version and had no problems with sound.
I have started reading some of MrEen's answers and followed his tips on this problem, to no avail.
inxi finds:
AMD SBx00 Azalia vendor: ASRock driver: N/A bus ID: 00:14.2
dmesg | grep AMD shows a.o :
1.194811] ehci-pci 0000:00:12.2: applying AMD SB700/SB800/Hudson-2/3 EHCI dummy qh workaround
And System Reports shows:
