Creative Labs SB0950 ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi not detected

Post by Erix »

Hi,
I have Toshiba R850 laptop with Linux Mint 20.3 and Creative Labs SB0950 ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi. No sound on SB, card is not detected by inxi -A
or lspci. SB works under Windows 10 (Win 7 drivers), not under Mint.
inxi -Fxz
System:
Kernel: 5.4.0-96-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 9.3.0
Desktop: LXDE 0.10.0 Distro: Linux Mint 20.3 Una base: Ubuntu 20.04 focal

Audio:
Device-1: Intel 6 Series/C200 Series Family High Definition Audio
vendor: Toshiba driver: snd_hda_intel v: kernel bus ID: 00:1b.0
Device-2: Intel type: USB driver: hid-generic,snd-usb-audio,usbhid
bus ID: 2-1.1:3
Sound Server: ALSA v: k5.4.0-96-generic
Device-2 is my USB microphone as laptop microphone is broken.
I found one link in this forum viewtopic.php?t=319637 but there card was alt least detected. Other https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2265382 - says that there no driver at all for linux.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
