After a short time when sounds been playing I get a loud beeping noise

Post by Other1 »

I'm having this problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxmint/comm ... t/ijtewaw/

And all I know is that I need to install firmware-intel-sound but I'm getting this error other1@Cyan:~$ sudo apt-get install firmware-intel-sound

[sudo] password for other1:

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree

Reading state information... Done

E: Unable to locate package firmware-intel-sound

What do I do?

I'm running on an Acer R 11 chromebook. I'm currently using LM 20.3 64 bit with the newest 5.15 kernel.
CPU: Quad Core Intel Celeron N3160 (-MCP-) speed/min/max: 1432/480/2240 MHz

The same issues are on Linux Mint 20.3 & Linux Mint 21 running kernel 5.15 on Acer Chromebook CB3-431 I could never find a solution. It always happens while streaming videos. Any suggestions would be appreciated./

Welcome to the forum, Other1.

Please open the System Reports app and click the System Information tab on the left. Your computer's information should come up in the right pane. Then click Copy, and paste the results into a reply window here so we can see how Linux Mint views your hardware.
