AZW Mini PC Model S5 - No Sound on Headphone Jack - Mint v21.1

Post by p644gh2 »

Hello, Need help with no output sound from new AZW Mini PC Model S5 with dual boot Windows 11 & Linux Mint v21.1 to speakers from headphone jack.

When booted into Windows the audio sound works fine to speakers, boot into Mint and no audio. If I connect PC to a monitor with speakers (my TV) via HDMI cable, the sound works fine. In Mint I cannot select the output device for "Speaker", only HDMI is selected by default and cannot change it.

I searched the web and forums and saw similar cases with no sound and checked several things mentioned, but no success.

If additional detail or information is needed, please let me know. Some are below.

Thank you in advance.
