No sound in .rmvb video

Postby contents » Thu Aug 30, 2007 7:12 am

I've got a video in .rmvb format that plays in totem, but without sound. Does anyone know how I could get it to work?

Thanks

Oops, I just saw Husse's post here: http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4161

If you view streaming real audio (.ram) you may experience that there is no sound.
Open ~/.xine/catalog.cache, find the section
[/usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.4/xineplug_decode_real_audio.so]
Change decoder_priority=5 to decoder_priority=10.
Did it for me

This worked for me, too (that is, it solves the no sound in .rmvb files, too). :D

Can this solution be included in Celena? (I hope :))
