SOLVED THANKS TO MISSED! How to save FLASH video

Post by guido8 » Thu Aug 26, 2010 9:54 am

I would like to know how I can save a FLASH video as soon as the video is full downloaded.

I am familiar with XP but with Linux Mint 9 I have not clue what I should do.

Any feedback would greatly appreciated.

Thanks!l

If you talk about a flash video from one of the popular sites like youtube, then you can find a plugin for firefox, which can do that.

Thanks for your reply!

What I would like to know is if there is a way to access to temp file and save that, I used to do with XP.

If it's the same, well, I would appreciate to know how I can access to temp file and look for the "whatever" has been downloaded in terms of your tube or full FLASH movies.

Thanks!!

If you are using Nautilus,

Click on "Home" , click on "File System", click on "tmp".

After that, start the flash video, and you will see the file appear. When it is finished you can drag it elsewhere.
When you close the browser window that is playing the flash video, the tmp file will be deleted immediately.

Edited for clarity.

Thanks for your reply!

I am not using nautilus. I am trying to save flash player movies. When the movies is already downloaded, if I click on the right mouse bottom by the screen (the movie window), it appears ABOUT JW PLAYER and FLASH PLAYER.

When I had XP was enough to access to temp and save the swf!

Any suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

I would suggest installing the firefox extension "Unplug." I use it on both macs and Linux Mint. Enter the configuration and choose the option "save as..." and you will be able to choose which resolution of video that you want to save.
