Hello, I'm using ManDVD on Ubuntu, which works perfectly. Has anyone used ManDVD or DeVeDe on Mint?
If so does it work OK? Or are there any other programs to work with video files for Mint?
Thanks for any input.
Cliff

Re: AVI to DVD conversion?
Mostly something that works on Ubuntu works on Mint (if you use the right versions)
I know that DeVeDe is used in Daryna, never heard of ManDVD

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
Re: AVI to DVD conversion?
Thanks for the input Husse.
DeVeDe worked very well on my Toshiba Satellite with Ubuntu. But it drove the CPU hard, I had to throttle it back. ManDVD (from Deb) was a simpler & easier program to work with for me. It also has a built-in priority selection. So far it hasn't caused any problems. I'll Install it on Mint & see what happens.
I'm using Mint (lovely Distro) on a Thinkpad T42 and am setting it up with pretty much the same programs.
Cheers,
Cliff

Re: AVI to DVD conversion?
After reading your first post I gave ManDVD a try (.avi to DVD) - I still have to burn the DVD and test it, but so far it worked flawlessly with Mint (Cassandra)... I'll post the results once I've burned the DVD...
Thanks for drawing my attention to it... it's very intuitive.

I don't have a solution, but I do admire the problem.
