Mesa 18.2 on LM 19?

Post by Kernel »

Has anyone got Mesa 18.2 running on LM 19 XFCE? Everytime I add the ppa and update LM fails to boot, gets stuck when the LM symbol normally appears and instead stops at a blank screen

I have a Ryzen 2400g which needs the latest Mesa. I have the latest stable kernel (4.17.6) on LM 19 XFCE

I've tried both UEFI and bios intallations and the same happens

I've tried both the OIbaf: ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/u ... cs-drivers and the Padoka: ppa:paulo-miguel-dias/mesa https://launchpad.net/~paulo-miguel-dia ... untu/pkppa ppa's

but after adding either of them and updating, LM fails to boot

Has anyone got them running?

Unfortunately I had to ditch LM, which I'm not too happy about because I liked how it worked, but it isnt possible to use the new graphics drivers. I just moved over from KDE Neon and that handled them

I'm now on Xubuntu but this wont boot with the new drivers either, seems none of the XFCE distros like the new mesa, whereas KDE/Plasma is ok

Guess I'll try some others
