Scanner use

Post by banjoman »

Would an HP Scanjet 5300c Flatbed Scanner be recognised by Linux automatically? Would I need some drivers? If so where could I get them? Thanks....

Hello banjoman,

your scanner is listed under the Sane supported devices as "Complete", so it should work without any additional drivers. Which Linux Mint do you use?

Hello banjoman,

do you have the scanner or do you want to purchase it?

I am in the process of buying one - £7.50, bargain price on eBay, states perfect working order so for that price I think it's worth going for.
