Keyboard shuts off.

Postby CacheMaker » Mon May 26, 2008 12:56 pm

Hi,
I'm running Linux Mint Gnome Daryna on my laptop and the keyboard shuts off at random times. Has this happened to anyone else and if so is there a way to fix this?

Thanks

Well, first off (Though it shouldn't matter):

What type of keyboard is it?
Is the wire starting to give on the USB?

I know what type of keyboard is it is a stupid question, however, i had a mouse that worked with my dad's windows machine, but not on my linux machine, so it could be a similar type of thing :P

It's my laptop keyboard not an external. I would think if I could do a quick restart with ctrl+alt+backspace it may reset it and it'd start working again but my keyboard doesn't work so there's no doing that. If I restart the machine the keyboard works again for a while then stops again at random times.
