Connecting ASUS MeMO Pad tablet via usb

Postby randiroo76073 » Thu Jul 25, 2013 9:11 pm

OS-Computer...Linux Mint Mate 14
OS-Tablet...Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, Tablet is an Asus MeMO Pad Smart 10.1" ME301T

I'm trying to connect my tablet to my computer via USB for file transferring and neither seems to be able to see the other. Is anyone here familiar with this problem ?

Yes, I have the same Asus memo-pad android tablet, and the same problem. From what I've read, your Linux operating system will not readily recognize your Android tablet, even though Android is a derivative of linux. However, WINDOWS 7 will readily and promptly recognize your Android Tablet !!!! :!:  :?: I think we need some linux programmers to create some software to remedy this, PLEASE. Its so embarrasing! (You can transfer files to your memo-pad tablet by using the microSD card port.)

There really is a need to look into this, it's even hard to get them to connect through bluetooth, that is totally ridiculous !
