AMD Graphics Card Mint 17

Post by keeper20 »

I recently bought an AMD Radeon R9 290x graphics card and am trying to install it on my Mint 17 OS. I tried installing the drivers using the fgrlx-amdcccle program in the Software Manager but after installing I can't seem to find the program on my computer. I've also been to the AMD website to install the drivers. I am able to run the program but cannot find the correct drivers for my system. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you try installing the drivers with the Additional Drivers module in Settings?

This (above) is the link to the AMD Catalyst 14.6 Beta for Linux. It supports the AMD Radeon R9 290x.

This is a tutorial for installing the drivers.

Hope this helps!
