Like me you have a hybrid system, meaning you're system has 2 onboard GPU's. You could try this:

  • open a terminal
  • make sure you don't have any bumblebee drivers, etc installed:

    Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge libvdpau-va-gl1 bumblebee* nvidia*
  • reboot
  • after reboot open a terminal
  • type the following command:

    Code: Select all

    sudo apt-get install nvidia-331 nvidia-settings nvidia-prime
  • reboot again

using nvidia-settings you can switch between the Intel GPU and the Nvidia-GPU

Enter the following commands into a terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
sudo update-locale LANG=en_GB.utf-8
sudo locale-gen --purge --no-archive
