ATI drivers help

Postby kevz65 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 8:16 am

I have mint x64 running on my home pc, and i installed the ati drivers from the ati website for the x64 linux OS following their instructions, the install went fine but when i rebooted after the loading screen i just get a blank screen and nothing comes up.

How can i fix this?

Start by booting into recovery mode and select the "Fix X" option there
If that does not help you have to tell us more facts.
We need to know a bit about your hardware.
Run " lspci " in a terminal and post here (to avoid misunderstanding - the first character is a minor L and you copy by marking with the mouse and then right click)
Also tell us if this is using mint4win or not, quite important
Envy is a better choice (envyng -t in a terminal) or the Hardware Drivers tool (found in the menu)
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Return to “Hardware Support”
