Help - Cups printer server won't start

I'm running Linux Mint Xfce 18.1 an until today I had no problems printing. Now the cups server won't start.

Here is what I get when I type
$ sudo dpkg --configure -a

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

CUPS issues: please see PRINTERS & FORUMS sub-forum

Hi Gerry; sorry to hear of your problems: above this general part of the Hardware Forum, are several sub-forums;

one of the sub-forums is called PRINTERS & SCANNERS and you will find your problem has happened to others; and they have been posting about it in that sub-forum: there is a manual fix; where you install three packages that are needed; it has been reported as a bug; and hopefully a resolution will appear soon

Thank you pdc_2.

Did as you suggested and downloading the deb files and installing them solved my problem.

Thanks again, very much appreciated
