Dell D800 laptop + suspend

Postby Mike_k0mll » Sun Apr 19, 2009 8:01 pm

I used Daryna at work, to introduce Seniors to Linux at the Local Senior center (I teach computer use). When upgrading to version 6, I decided to install on many, my laptop was one. The Dell D600 performs very well, I have only the most minor problem, suspend. When this thing "goes to sleep" the back light will never turn back on. It is still alive, I found I could drive blind, Press ALT + F1 then Up arrow ONCE, enter and it shuts down and I reboot and all is fine.

Great job on This version of MINT, I've used Linux many years, this is the best so far, easy and great for the general public!

Hope someone has a fix, thank you -- mike

Not trying to hijack here, but I'm having a similar issue with a Dell Vostro 1400. When I come out of suspend, the login screen comes up but my keyboard and mouse touchpad do not respond. Hibernate does seem to work though
HP Probook 4530s
Linux Mint 17
