Hi ClixTrix,

Issue is coming even after disabling the hyperthreading.
there is no option to disable it in BIOS so i have disabled using below program.

https://github.com/Gonzih/linux-disable-hyperthreading

please suggest

Dear friends,

This should solve freezing problems according to your thread:
https://github.com/Gonzih/linux-disable-hyperthreading

I am novice, so can anybody help me how to apply this action "disable hyperthreading" within displayed link?

Or is there anything else to prevent V310-15IKB from freezing issues?

Kind regards

I have heard Intel updated drivers for Kabu lake processors with GNU (both OS windows and linux...). I have read that update is included in Debian editions. So is it case with LDME3 Mint Cinnamon desktop? Tnx please answer 😉

I updated my new V310-15IKB (Kaby lake) with intel microcode drivers for i5-7200U, mint 19 v2 cinnamon 64bit. However, it freeze again when it usage lasts longer than 1 or 2 hours... Maybe Intel integrated graphic unit (GNU) and i5 processor overheat...
What can be solution? Laptop cooling? Changing Linux version? Or anything else? Tnx

I think the 7th-gen Intel Kabylake processor requires Linux kernel 4.13 or higher for full support.

Can you upgrade the kernel via Update Manager (>View >Linux kernels).? LM 19 comes with kernel 4.15 LTS.(4.13 is not LTS)
