As far as I understand there have been some troubles getting Cinnamon to work with multiple monitors, at least in previous versions. Is this still true?
I prefer Cinnamon in front of MATE, but I need multiple monitors to work.

I just got into Mint a few days ago and have 2 Asus VG248QE monitors. Works right out of the box (one connected DVI-D, other connected with Displayport).
I did the whole installation with one screen though, so might need to install the correct drivers first (not a real problem since this is one of the first things you do).

2 is not a problem. Once you add more on a second video card, the problems begin, at least for me. I have 2 Nvidia cards with 4 monitors. Can't get the other 2 working for the life of me.
