Laptop does not auto-suspend

Post by Minterator »

If I click on the Suspend button, it goes to sleep just fine. But after x minutes of inactivity it does NOT auto-suspend. It just blanks the screen and may log me out.

I have both LM 17.3 and 18.3 installed and neither OS will auto-suspend. Auto-suspend used to work before, any ideas?

Have you already checked your power settings? Are they configured properly?

Yeah, auto-suspend is set to x minutes for both AC & battery power.

I found this here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AMD_Catalyst

At the top it says in bold: "Catalyst packages are no longer offered in the official repositories. It is no longer updated by AMD and does not support the latest Xorg, so installing an old Xorg is required."

A new X.Org X server was pushed a few days ago by Update Manager, could this be the problem? If so, how do I install a previous x.org version?
