Audient ID 14

Post by Skipper56 » Thu Jan 18, 2018 2:56 pm

Good Day! I am transferring all to linux after a frustrating challenge with win 10. My question is installing the Audient ID 14 interface for sound and Microphones for voice over and sound in my studio. I am not seeing any info on the subject. Audient states they have no software to support this. I have heard that others have done this but find no documentation. I appreciate your help.

If you have Mint installed or have the Live-CD/Flash available, please boot and run the following command from Terminal and post back the result. That will provide details on the system to best provide advise.

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
I have installs of Audacity with various systems for capture and recording. If "studio" means recording studio, I have a friend that does just that with Audacity.

I'll try to do some checks on Audient.

"frustrating challenge with win 10" <---need no further explanation on that topic.

Edit: Ah, Audient ID14, found it. https://audient.com/products/audio-inte ... /overview/

OK, it's USB audio. Looks nice, but not sure about Mint/Ubuntu support. I'll keep looking.

Edit2: This looks encouraging. Mint is based upon Ubuntu.

I couldn't find a lot on that interface either, but this may be helpful:
