Hi guys !
After an update I did today i get this message when I shutdown the computer: "wlp2s0: failed to remove key (1, ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff) from hardware (-22)"
I am suspecting a firmware update that I installed and not the new kernel because I rolled back to previous kernel and still get the message.
The system seemes to work fine, and the shutdown is not delayed or halted, but the message is still a bit annoying. When I did a search for wlp2s0, it seemes to do with wifi, but have not seen any issues with wifi or bluetooth so far.
Does anyone have an idea what could cause this and how to get rid of it ?
My system is :
ASUS zenbook UX330UA
Linux mint 18.3 with 4.13.0-32 kernel
The update I am suspecting to trigger this is (although not sure) : 0.5-2ubuntu7
Thanks guys

Does this bug report look correct against your problem?

Re: Error message on shutdown
Looks like the same issue or at least very similar.
Not sure what they mean by hung shutdown, but my computer seemes to shutdown as fast as usual, only that I get that message.

Re: Error message on shutdown
The error message does not appear if I switch off WIFI before I shutdown the computer.
Maybe it has to do with wifi driver ?

Maybe you should attempt the workarounds posted at the link to the bug report.jorgenask wrote:Maybe it has to do with wifi driver ?

Re: Error message on shutdown
Forgot to mention that I tried the workarround involving editing the grub file, but it did not make any difference
Re: Error message on shutdown
Looks like the error message goes away when going back to the 4.10 kernels.
Currently on the 4.10.0-42
All of the 4.13 kernels gives me the error message.

Re: Error message on shutdown
It's up to you, but keep in mind that the 4.10 is not and will never be patched against Meltdown. Personally I would prefer a patched kernel (4.13 series), even if it came with an error message at shutdown.
If your issue is solved, kindly indicate that by editing the first post in the topic, and adding [SOLVED] to the title. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! I'm not sure which option is the best
