Recognize Hard Drives

Post by Palladini921 » Sat Feb 03, 2018 11:53 pm

My Computer, Which I call My Video Editing Beast, has 3 Hard drives in the box. Yet Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia Cinnamon cannot recognize one of them. I open Gparted and it does not see it either. I think this is a problem with the driver for my Sata Connectors on My Asus Motherboard. Also I have noticed, I have 2 Optical drives installed and during the boot up sequence I see it only list one of them, yet before it did list 2 of them.

Any Idea how I might fix this issue?

Check BIOS to see if the drives are detected. If not, it's probably a hardware problem.

Probably reset your BIOS.
Please edit your original post title to include [SOLVED] if/when it is solved!
Your data and OS are backed up....right?
