Hi,
I'm on Mint 18.3 Mate in a dual boot w/Win10.
I have an old CanonScan 4200F that works fine on Windows.
It connects to the PC (intel NUC) via a usb hub.
Mint 'lsusb' finds it as: Bus 001 Device 010: ID 04a9:221b Canon, Inc. CanoScan 4200F
But, I get 'No Device' if I try SimpleScan, Xsane, Gscan, etc.
I found a post that suggested adding latest Sane drivers which I did:
forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=252893 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rolfbensch/sane-git
Any suggestions to get this working? Thanks

That model of CanoScan isn't supported by Sane.

Canon 4200F not supported in Vuescan either
Vuescan https://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/canon_4 ... nformation supports a vast range of scanners; very well; but the 4200F is not supported by them
