Diagonal Screen Tearing in Firefox

Post by Teksonik » Thu Mar 01, 2018 12:28 pm

Anybody else experience diagonal screen tearing when scrolling or watching videos in Firefox (58.02, Mint 18.3) ? I've tried to adjust settings in Firefox and looked for updated video drivers from within Mint. I don't remember this happening in Vivaldi but I've un-installed it so can't check again. I'd like to keep using FF and this issue is annoying but not show stopping. Still any advice leading to a solution would be greatly appreciated. :D

(This system has integrated Intel graphics)

EDIT: I just reinstalled Vivaldi and the screen tearing does not occur with it so that would seem to indicate it's an issue with FF rather than an system issue. Things I have tried with no success: disabling hardware acceleration and smooth scrolling in FF. Tried about:config "browser.tabs.remote.autostart and autostart2 =false

EDIT 2: Hey thanks for the help.......
