I am posting this here for anyone else who may be having a similar problem. I am running XFCE 18.3 on a 2005 motherboard with the latest bios.
My computer would freeze or re-boot randomly. Checked all the logs and could find no cause. So I powered down, pulled the plug out from the wall and opened
the box up. Then I used my shop vac to vacuum the dust out. Then I pulled and reseated every connector, one at a time. Also did the video card.
Its been two months since and no more problem.
Do not touch the board with the vac hose. Something to try.
