[solved] phone causing havoc

Post by callmejoe »

it seems a lot of times when i connect my android phone to the PC the system becomes unstable. programs just dont want to open from the desktop: nemo, system monitor, thunderbird are a few.

i have to log out to get it going again. anyone else see this when connecting a phone?

[edit] now the phone asks me like 4 times if it's allowed to access PC. each time i allow it, opens a window in nemo, but no phone storage folders listed. then on the 4th time i get to see the phone storage in nemo.

im on 18.3 cinnamon desktop. using a samsung galaxy s6

18.3 Cinnamon with Galaxy grand 2 works well.

each time you allow it do you check "don't ask again" do you have usb debugging on? is your connect to pc setting for media device MTP? when you plug in your phone run top and see what is killing your cpu
