unfortunately nobody helpes me

i install win10, and driver installs success.
but this system is still no linux and in future i think test another OS.

i tries: Linux mint 18.1, Mint 18.3, ubuntu 18.04, Manjaro 2018.04 Mate.
Driver install on some systems results in blank black screen and nothing.
All desktop Mate i selected always.

Amd radeon drivers is really bad. Never buy AMD videocard for Linux.
only if you planning test compactibility your developed application on Linux + AMD or your planning benchmarks.

Well, if at some point in all that research you had looked here ...

... you would have known that the open source driver (radeon) is the correct one, and of course installing amdgpu-pro broke it. ANY real dev would have been be able to see that.

I disagree. Under unsupported chips. that page states that the AMDGPU driver should be one automatically installed for the 290x (it's a clock-sped version of the 280 - same card but with an overclocked chip) in anything Ubuntu 16.04 and above. The 290x is a newer card than the R9 285, hence what I've said. That page also goes on to say a user may wish to install the proprietary PRO driver. I don't think installing the RADEON would've done the OP much chop.

I tries AMDGPU_PRO 18.10 new driver and 18.20

and i test on Linux Mint 18.3 two drivers and about 10 Kernels
and no one works!!!

I get tons on errors and no one works.
Sometimes driver seems like installed but of course no works
https://pp.userapi.com/c846221/v8462211 ... Qat0_M.jpg

Variant 1.
glxinfo | grep OpenGL gets
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig
https://pp.userapi.com/c840435/v8404351 ... 4pWfEI.jpg

Program gets error.
No AMD OpenCL GPU found. exit.

Variant 2.
Blank screen after reboot and downloading system

Variant 3
Xorg error

Until i click on POWER buttond and select another Kernel Linux

I already HATE AMD Radeon production but i still requires series tests on it.
This producent even cannot create normally driver like Nvidia do it. Installs everywhere and on any videocard in 2 minutes.
With AMD Radeon any user waste time, many time... from 1-2 days to 1 months to JUST INSTALL DRIVER procedure.

Of course i test not only Linux Mint distros.
I trying use Manjaro 2018.4 but i cannot even boot in LiveUSB
I select boot and get black screen.
