Good Evening
I am running Mint on my aluminum Mac-book (not pro) and everything works great except Bluetooth.
It works sometimes, but does not others (I'd say 50%)
When it works then everything is fine.
When is not working it is like not even detected; any command from terminal returns no info about bluetooth and I get no BT symbol beside the clock/calendar and If I run the Bluetooth software which is in the programs list, it appears a window with a BT symbol in the middle which is red crossed and no options or actions are available (see the picture attached).
At this point I have to switch off the laptop and turn it ON again (reboot is not enough) and finally it comes back and perfectly working.
When I get it working then I can have information from terminal like follows:

Any Clue on how to get it working every-time an not only "some" time?
Thanks in advance for the reply.

Re: Macbook Alum. Bluetooth not always working (50/50..)
It is a known macbook hardware issue.
I resolved it by resetting the SMC. To do that on a macbook do the folowing:
Step #1. Turn off your MacBook (any of the above version).
Step #2. Attach the power adapter to your Mac.
Step #3. Press Control+Shift+Option keys and power button together for some time and then release the keys.
Procedure is different for models other than macbook (iMac, mac mini etc..)
