Graphics tablet pen buttons

Post by PeterRJG » Sat May 12, 2018 1:25 am

I have a Huion 680S graphics tablet which works well out of the box in Linux Mint 18.3. Pressure sensitivity works too. There's just one minor hassle - that's configuring the two buttons on the pen. I suspect that I'm out of luck without manufacturer drivers (they aren't any for Linux) but I'd like to actually disable them as they get int the way when I draw.

Mint sees the pen and tablet fine.

Code: Select all

peter@boxybox ~ $ xinput -list
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2	[master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4	[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ PS/2+USB Mouse id=9	[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ PenTablet Consumer Control id=13	[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ PenTablet Pen id=15	[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ PenTablet Mouse id=16	[slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3	[master keyboard (2)]
↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5	[slave keyboard (3)]
    ↳ Power Button id=6	[slave keyboard (3)]
    ↳ Video Bus id=7	[slave keyboard (3)]
    ↳ Power Button id=8	[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Mitsumi Electric Apple Extended USB Keyboard	id=10	[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Mitsumi Electric Apple Extended USB Keyboard	id=11	[slave keyboard (3)]
    ↳ PenTablet Keyboard id=12	[slave keyboard (3)]
↳ PenTablet System Control id=14	[slave keyboard (3)]
So does anyone know of a Linux way to configure the pen at all? Thanks in advance! :D
