[19beta] No microcode available in mintdrivers

Post by MSNBC » Tue Jun 19, 2018 4:21 am

In Mint 18.x Microcode was offered for my CPU. Now it isn't. Made a clean install of 19beta from DVd and all updates.

Intel microcode 3.20180425.1~ubuntu0.18.04.1 is installed.

Code: Select all

lspci -v
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v6/7th Gen Core Processor Host Bridge/DRAM Registers (rev 02)
Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Xeon E3-1200 v6/7th Gen Core Processor Host Bridge/DRAM Registers
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0
	Capabilities: <access denied>

Code: Select all

Looks like microcode (both for Intel and AMD) is part of the default installation now? When I check with Synaptic, I have both microcode packages.
