AMD Micro codes and Spectre
Where my drivers are listed. It shows the AMD microcode. The "Do not update the CPU microcode" button is checked. I though I saw some where that it was recommended not to apply the update. Was that wrong? This was a while ago, and don't remember where I saw that.

I have installed all microcode updates on my various machines (both Intel and AMD) with no issues. So, I would recommend it. Wait for those with more experience to chime in, though.

That will be true for some but not others. There's no hard and fast rule for determining if that's true for you or not except that if it's older than your BIOS don't do it. If it doesn't work there are instructions here to disable loading microcode:

Thank you for the replies. I updated the Micro Code, no problems. What as the worst that could happen..right. I new it was newer than the bios because I never updated it.
