macbook pro 1,1 and mint 19

Said that I only run linux to give new life to an obsolete hw that only runs an obsolete os for obsolete applications, I recently upgraded from mint 18.3 to last 19.
Vane hope! A lot of pane to achieve that goal and none of the old hassles are solved, instead the one that was solved is reissued (the webcam):

1) suspend not working
2) keyboard light dim not working
3) keyboard keys not correctly mapped
4) isight camera not recognized
5) gnome-keyring-daemon running stops the shutdown request

Is there any owner of same hw with these issues solved? Are those bugs anyhow considered or are we condemned to cope with them forever?
